Since coming to power, the coalition have made no secret of their plans to make wide ranging cuts to Quangos which they see as wasteful of public money. The official news was not due to emerge until the Comprehensive Spending Review , in october, but a list of 177 bodies under threat has been seen by the Daily Telegraph.
