Rescue submit Written Evidence on the Housing and Planning Bill 2015-6

The Housing and planning bill 2015-2016, first read in parliament in October 2015 proposes a raft of reforms to the planning system. Rescue have concerns about elements of the bill, particularly those in Section 6. One of the proposed measures includes the establishment of planning permission in principle on Brownfield sites.

Rescue have submitted written evidence in response to the bill, expressing our concern that this will put the historic environment at significant risk and represents a significant deviation away from sustainable development with regards to the historic environment as currently enshrined in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).

Our response is below.
