Peak National Park: Quarry threat. English Heritage has written a 14 page letter to the Peak National Parks Authority registering its objections in the strongest possible terms, to a proposal by Stancliffe Stone quarry company to extend its quarrying activities at Lees Cross and Endcliffe, which is within the boundaries of the Peak National Park and in close proximity to the scheduled area of Stanton Moor.
