The book The Birth of Modern Britain: A Journey into Britain’s Archaeological Past: 1550 to the Present, is the final one in a series (following Britain BC, Britain AD, and Britain in the Middle Ages) published by Harper Collins. These are not intended as textbooks but are personal explorations of the story of Britain using archaeological evidence aimed at the general reader.
