Rescue Archaeology: Foundations for the future

RESCUE is producing a book, due for publication in early 2015, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the organisation. RESCUE Archaeology: Foundations for the future will contain papers written by invited contributors which will review the diverse and dynamic field that constitutes archaeology in 21st century Britain.

To find a suitable picture for the cover we are inviting our members and supporters to send in pictures or images which typify or encapsulate rescue archaeology in Britain in the 21st century. These images should take into account RESCUE’s priorities and focus on the threats to our archaeological heritage. If any of the images are selected for use on the cover, the copyright holder will receive a free copy of the book.

The competition will be judged by the book editors and RESCUE Committee. Images can be black and white or full colour and should be suitable for reproduction on an A5 size cover. Entries should be wholly original and free of copyright entanglements or permission requirements. Entrants must supply an email contact address.

Entries should be sent to Reuben Thorpe: RescueArchaeologyUK@gmail.com or can be submitted using the form below.

The closing date is 31st January 2015.
