The university is easily accessed by train and bus and has its own rail station which is served by trains approximately every 20 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly (10 minute journey) and buses (e.g. no 50 operated by Stagecoach and no 36 by First) from the stations and city centre. For more detailed information see the university website: link below.

The Peel building lies only a short walk south-west of the rail station, and we include a map below of the campus. The Peel building is No. 3 on the map.

If you are travelling by car, there is parking either outside the Salford Museum and Art Gallery (pay cash at a machine, possibly £5) or park on one of the University’s car parks which will involve paying by phone.
There is a café next door at Salford Museum (see campus map), open between 12pm and 3pm at weekends and serving snacks, hot drinks and cakes and there will be tea and coffee available in the meeting room.

Because we are on a University campus although there are lots of cafes and restaurants, unfortunately most are not open on a Saturday!
We look forward to seeing you there – all members and non-members welcome. A poster is below – feel free to send this around to any interested parties.
