Rescue has responded to the consultation by DCLG (the Department for Communities and Local Government) about possible changes to the NPPF (the National Planning Policy Framework). We highlight various places where the historic environment has been given less prominence and where the wording has been reduced or changed – as we have said already the overall impression now is of an attack on the way the planning system protects the historic environment.
